Survey says: the best day for a WordPress is Tuesday. February's Meetup is all about helping a beginner. Wayne Key has been a WordPress user for just a couple of months. (So he's not really a beginner anymore.) When I met him at the January Meetup, he was very eager to learn and he asked questions that ranged from beginner to advanced use of WordPress. I thought, here's a guy who I can use at the next Meetup. He was easily convinced, so my job this month is easier than ever. The format is all new. Wayne will take the floor (and the projector) to present his questions. The audience will answer. Everyone will learn something and everyone will have a chance to be an expert for a few minutes. For anyone who needs a carrot there are free "W" stickers and buttons. There will also be beer. Bring your own if you don't want a Shiner. Cheers until then, Andy
I split after a few minutes because there was so much diversity in the level of questions (I'm a newb) and competition for attention. A lot of side conversations drowned out main taik.
It seems there is enough interest and need for multiple sessions. Perhaps there could be a separate meeting for beginners or make the first half hour a basic intro for newbies. Or break out into smaller groups based upon subject/need of attendees.

Had some good ideas shared. Sometimes could not hear what was being said by the speaker due to local conversations going on.

Yes! I got some questions answered and feel like I'm actually making some progress with WordPress. Thanks Andy, Chris and Sam.

It's always a good meeting. Andy and Pat (Is Pat the new organizer? Thanks Pat!) were very generous with their knowledge and tooks a wide variety of questions When the group broke into multiple discussions, things got hard to hear. In that space a single focus is more effective. Andy, please extend our thanks to your lovely wife for her yummie cookies!
